Day 5

The team's day consisted of crazy games and fun times! The morning opened with some fun icebreakers. After getting everyone smiling and laughing, the girls and boys split up into separate groups to play more games. The first round of games was made up of giant volleyball and tiny hockey. Even the youngest Ticos got to participate in the fun! Next, the groups played human tic-tac-toe and tug-of-war. After a break for free time to play games and grab some food, everybody joined for a big water balloon relay. Of course, it ended in a huge water battle! We took another break to give out tracts to all the Ticos. Some of them even had questions about the Bible, and they wanted to know more! Then, the Ticos and Gringos joined up for a crazy game of slip-and-slide soccer. After some more food, the kids took a bunch of pictures all together and said their goodbyes. It's safe to say that everyone walked away with a smile this afternoon.

Our ministry today followed a pattern that Pastor LaMar calls Eternal CPR which stands for cultivating, planting, and reaping. Our time playing games was meant to develop relationships; reading through the tracts allowed us to plant the seeds of God's love; and finally Pastor Eduardo presented the gospel which offered the kids a chance to commit their lives to Christ. His message was clear and simple, full of practical

examples which the Tico children could take to heart. We again performed the "Creere" drama this time outdoors which served to amplify its beautiful and impactful message. Perhaps the most inspiring element of today's activities was the chance to hear both Moira and Julia give their testimonies. Both girls opened up their hearts to the kids God brought before us which is the true purpose of our time here in Costa Rica.

Tomorrow the team will be conducting a VBS program at a local church. Pray for energy for the team as energy is waning. Pray for the seeds that were planted to day as the team worked to cultivate, plant, and reap as a result of sharing the Gospel.
