Day 3 - More VBS!

Under the glorious morning sunshine, we hopped onto the bus and traveled to our first destination: a school. We only saw one group of kids, but they were amazing! We started by dancing and singing a few songs. When the students were all excited, we played a few games to encourage competition but also working together. Then, we did our team's drama (Tú Dices) for the first time this week. It went super well! We followed up with a quick lesson and craft for the kids. They were all smiles and laughs despite the heat. Another successful trip to plant the seeds of faith in the Ticos we meet!

Later this morning we left for another school and did another VBS. This was in a new town with kids in poverty who have trouble learning so bringing a smile to their faces was our main goal! This particular school does not allow teams to come in and minister, so we hope our time there will soften them towards future teams. After that we left for lunch at Pastor John's church. It was a such a good pick me up for the hot and tired team. We then left for our last destination. We went to an elementary school and did VBS sessions with 2 sets of kids. Like our other VBS's, we did songs, games, drama, lessons, crafts, and most importantly, snow cones. Then we took a tiring bus ride back to the camp for some free time before dinner. It was a long day and we were definately ready for some food and rest.

Please pray for the following:

That the kids we minister to will be open to God's message

We ministered in a school that has not allowed our team to share in the past. Pray that after today the school will be willing to allow other teams to minister to its students.

Continual health and safety for the team

Day 4 - More VBS!

The team enjoyed a slow morning because our first VBS of the day was not until later. Many of the team members were up at 6:00 to go swimming in the pool even though breakfast wasn't being served unti
