With a 6:30 am flight to Houston, the team had an early morning at the Columbus airport. Despite the early start to the day and long drive to the airport, the team had a great morning gathering with their families one final time in prayer before going through security.
After landing in Houston at 8:00, we had a short layover before taking off on our final flight of the day to San Jose. On the flight, we were encouraged to begin our day’s Bible study in preparation for the work God has planned for us.
We finally landed in Costa Rica and hit the ground running! We went to lunch at an authentic Costa Rican McDonald’s before departing for our final destination of Campamento Brittney. We arrived at the camp around 5:00 and started preparing for the arrival of pastors’ kids for a weekend retreat.
We enjoyed a traditional Costa Rican dinner with the kids participating in the camp, played volleyball, and started building relationships with the camp kids. After washing dishes, the team gathered together in a time of praise and Bible study. After a long day, we were ready to turn it in as early as possible…
