After more than two months of meeting, prep, study, and practice, the Costa Rica team is ready to hit the mission field! The first flight takes off at 6:00 on Tuesday morning making Monday's meeting the final one. Yesterday, team members along with their families met for fellowship, final announcements, and a time of prayer.
This morning, the team met for final practice and preparation. The leaders reviewed the plan for checking in at the airport, expectations, and code of conduct with the team. The team also took time to discuss the fears, worries, doubts, hopes, and excitements that they have for the trip. A lot of time and prayer has been invested in preparing the team members to participate well and get the full experience of a short-term mission trip.
The team also spent time rehearsing the team drama multiple times and preparing for VBS activities. The team bags and supplies have been divided amongst the members before they go home to finish packing. Before leaving the meeting, the team met for a time of prayer.
