Today’s devotion time continued to focus on the cost of being one of Christ’s disciples. Our team devotional “Being a Disciple: Counting the Real Cost” has been stretching our thoughts on truly taking up the cross for Christ. The team has spent much time in song and in prayer. We continue to pray for the country of Costa Rica as well as for those we will be ministering to this summer.
We took advantage of the drier weather this morning, spending most of the time outside team building and strengthening our “toolbox” of games. The team has enjoyed playing games with one another and building the unity they will need for the trip. Continue to pray for team unity even after we wrap up ESM Week! We continue to memorize songs and motions for our VBS program.
The team is finishing up Foreign to Familiar, discussing high-context versus low-context cultures, as well as our book on Hudson Taylor. After taking a quiz and discussing the culture of Costa Rica, we finished the day with another team building activity and music.
